TZL GmbH and BASF SE set up the chem2biz Initiative in order to offer chemistrybased companies outstanding start-up and growth conditions at the Ludwigshafen/Rhine site.
The chem2biz Initiative is financed by the shareholders of TZL – the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economics and the City of Ludwigshafen – in cooperation with BASF. The central objective is to further extend the existing chemical cluster. City, State, BASF and TZL stand by their support for the Ludwigshafen chemical site and the need to strengthen it in all areas.
Scope chem2biz:
- Chemistry, i.e. organic and inorganic chemistry, process chemistry
- Nanotechnology, particularly chemical nano-technology, but also physical nanotechnology in the application fields of coatings, nanomaterials and composites and analysis
- New materials
- Biotechnology, particularly in the fields of the development and production of chemical pharmaceuticals and basic pharmaceutical substances
- Process engineering including environmental technology
